Dear Waverly,

The "missionaries" -- all 23 of us -- send greetings and peace. Your and our prayers for good weater were answered in moy bueno way on Monday. The sky was overcast until about 10 a.m. so the temperature was in the 70s and 80s for the start of the building. It was a real gift since hte beginning of the task was to swing cement blocks from one person to another to get them into (what will be) the house.

It was actually chilly at our 6 a.m. outdoor breakfast.

Joan Stone is seeing that everyone is hydrated.

Don and Jim Crawford are snack and lunch providers par excellence.

The family who will live in the house are Carmen, 59, and her son, Andres, 42. Carmen is somewhat frail. She greeted us with a shy smile and the words, "Thank God."

We do thank God -- for the opportunity to make love real. And we thank Waverly and friends for making this trip possible.

P.S. Thanks to all for your notes. Our daily connection home means a lot. Blessings to you.
