Positive Parenting

Helping to build positive relationships between parents and children.

East Liberty Presbyterian Church and Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh will be hosting a parent education course. This is a seven-week course that gives parents ideas about how to build self-esteem for themselves and their children. Techniques presented will include more effective communication skills that focus on listening so that children will talk, and on talking so that children will listen. Discipline will be discussed and participants will learn new strategies and skills to deal with sibling rivalry and problem solving.

TIME: 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon

COST: $30 per person, $40 per couple, some scholarship money available.
